Sebastian Gomez was an early favorite producer when we first launched Ghost. What was that? Almost five years ago? Damn we’re getting old. Well anyway, I thought it was about time to check in on Finca La Divisa and see what they’re up to. I’m happy to report that the answer is bangers. What they’re up to is still producing bangers.
I’m having a love affair with this coffee. It’s such a classic profile but amped up. It’s gesha +1. There are plenty of floral notes to go around, mostly hitting like rose and lemongrass. It has citrus and honey sweetness and at first glance it presents as a washed coffee. But the undertones are decidedly the ripe red fruits that you expect to find in the natural process. I’m drinking it right now and there’s a strawberry ice cream going on in the finish. Really good times.
