Very fun coffee alert! The story here is that producer Wilder Lazo managed to germinate green coffee from the Sidamo region of Ethiopia. That was in 2019. Fast forward to present day and the farm, Bella Alejandria, now has over one thousand coffee trees from those sprouts. So this coffee is mixed Ethiopian varieties grown at Wilders farm in Huila, Colombia. It was processed as a straight natural.
It’s a fruit bomb, plain and simple. Not a funk bomb, but it pulls flavors from nearly every set of fruits you can imagine. It has berries and stone fruit and citrus and tropicals. Everything. Behind it all is a soft white floral note and candy sweetness. The body is incredibly juicy and salivating. It’s a coffee that’s fun to drink and has a fun story. Double whammy of good times.
