Our second lot this year from Banko Chelchele! This one features the same anaerobic natural process as the previous lot, but with the addition of lemongrass to the fermentation tank. It makes for a delicious co-fermentation.

We don’t often feature solo co-ferment or infused coffee here. Sure, we’re known to use them as blend components or pop them on the pour over menu, but our offering list has been relatively purist. Admittedly though, purity can get dull. So bring on the eclecticism! What I like about this coffee is that the lemongrass doesn’t overpower the cup. It enhances the natural Ethiopian floral notes and contrasts beautifully with jammy red fruits. Balance is a hard thing to find with co-ferments, but this lot manages to pull it off for some serious good times.
